Devotion Lifted Up to the Spirit - A Cry for Our Children

                               


If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. - Isaiah 54:13 (NKJV)

Holy Spirit, I lift this cry straight from my heart, a heart full of love and longing, to the Most High.

This cry is not just for my children, but for all children. Those we’ve raised, those still finding their way, and those we carry in prayer every single day.

And this cry is not just from me, t’s for every heart that needed to hear it. If this speaks to you, it’s yours too. I give you permission to pray it, share it, and carry it forward.

Most High, call them back to You. Holy Spirit, unsettle anything in them that’s not like You, rebellion, confusion, or pride. Stir up something deep within them that won’t let them rest until they return to who You created them to be.

Remind them they are children of the Most High, Chosen, Loved, Covered, and Protected. Let obedience take root deep in their spirit, not just as children, but through every season of their lives. Let it grow with them, shape them, and guide their steps.

Even as they grow older, let them honor their parents, forgive quickly, and walk in wisdom and peace.

Holy Spirit, move now. Whisper truth. Send conviction wrapped in love. Chase down every prodigal with mercy.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Thank You, Holy Spirit, in advance, for what You’ve already done and what You’re about to do in the lives of our children, from birth to old age. I trust You, I believe You, and I give You all the glory.

Be Strong, Surrender and Rest!

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light . - Matthew 11:28-30 (CSB) When faced with problems, our instinct often drives us to take control and tightly manage every aspect, believing that doing so will help resolve the issue. However, this approach can lead to increased anxiety and foster an environment where fear grows. Love Not Like

As Christians, we must never forget how important love is. Christianity truly is a religion of love. You can probably judge how much a person adheres to the Faith by how loving they actually are. The Bible is clear on this. 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 says: 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
